Has anyone here achieved psychedelics-level states of consciousness by using breathwork (holotropic breathing) or other meditation methods?
What's the most significant non-drug induced spiritual experience you've ever had?
What's the most psychadelic experience you've had without drugs?
Re: What's the most psychadelic experience you've had without drugs?
Hey there! ^^
My meditation methods are actually relatively simple. I don't consciously pay attention to my breathing; it just adapts.
I either lie down or sit cross-legged and listen to music. What I consciously pay attention to is clearing my mind of thoughts and relaxing my entire body.
I've never taken drugs before, so I can't say for sure whether this counts as a psychedelic experience.
That day I meditated sitting cross-legged. I saw something that looked like part of my soul or etheric body. Since I was curious, I wanted to investigate, so I looked around my soul part. Then I saw a green ball of energy. When I touched it, it expanded so quickly that it looked like a bomb about to go off. But before that could happen, a golden eye appeared, stopping the process and looking directly at me. It was only one eye, but I've never been looked at with such a warning before. As suddenly as the eye appeared, I was startled out of meditation.
I was shocked and scared because I've never ended a meditation like that before. But what I was more afraid of was the fact that this energy ball was attached to me. When it was about to go off it felt like it would not only burst with me but everything around me. After that I didn´t meditate for a while

All my ld/obe/etc was achieved sober. Through meditation practices. There was a time when it as almost effortless, and when I was "going out" nearly as often as other people switch on their TVs, but not so much these days.
The first one or two tend to be the most significant, for obvious reason. Meeting somebody deeply important to me face to face, being able to actually look in to her eyes, hearing her voice and to be shown more in mere minutes, than what I could scrape off from books or rumors in my entire life prior to that - it was an "eye opening" experience.
