Occult tarot advice

Post by GrimmZero »

Hey all,

I am very new to occultism and was using my occult tarot deck my partner gifted me for Christmas. When preparing my ritual and focusing on Baphomet as my guide ( he had been popping into my thoughts and I had starting seeing his image more frequently than usual). I began sweating profusely even though I set up the alter in the coolest part of my house, I had also seen red eyes flash into my vision when meditating. Reading through other threads on the forum I thought I should ask for advice, is there anything to be concerned about? If so what can I do to keep myself and family protected?

There is a lot to be concerned about.
If so what can I do to keep myself and family protected?
You could start by NOT touching the occult.

For someone who went very deep in to occult, paid accordingly for all that I got from it, what I hear when I read it is something like:
"I'm going on a tourist trip to Gaza (or Donbas, or enter your own "not-safe-for-tourists-place"), and I'll be dragging my family with me, without them even knowing it, what can I do to keep them safe?".
Well yes, you can buy ballistic vests and helmets for everyone, to mitigate the risks at least marginally, but that's just all backwards from the start, because one should start from the fundamentals, by deciding what's more important for them, the safety or the trip, the occult, because the two don't normally come together as one package, there's no and never will be any inherent safety in the occult.
You should be careful not to fall for misleading portrayals of the occult you might come across online, which might try to romanticize it, because it's a very dark and treacherous place.

Thank you Cerber, I really like the way you put that. I will leave the occult alone until I have a better understanding of it ( or for the long term). That was the second time I had tried a reading with that deck. The first time I was having thoughts about things that had never interested me. I put that down to a demonic ear worm. That second use of it was so intense I had never experienced such a spiritual high in my life. I will focus on studying less dangerous practices until I have a better understanding of my own self and have more knowledge than the internet can provide.

Humans that cannot control their emotions and thoughts are easy targets for hungry spirits

I have a lot of work to do on my inner self. Which I have to remind myself is not a quick journey. I am realising now that I have alot of trauma and self doubt to overcome to be able to stay firm in my morals on this path. Thank you Amor
