When I was a young child I had what I would consider a supernatural experience. I was raised in a very conservative Christian home. Church twice on Sunday, Sunday school, Wednesday service, plus whatever special events there were.
I went through a period when I would almost violently refuse to enter a church. Literal kicking and screaming. I would say that it boarded on the hysterical. Naturally, my mother was very upset by this. She really didn't know how to handle it so she talked to our Pastor and he suggested bringing me in so that they could pray for, and over me.
I wouldn't say that it was an exorcism per se, but that was the last time I had that issue. I went to church more or less willingly after that.
In the years to follow I left the church because of a lot of small reasons and one big one but to this day still have nightmares about fighting the forces of evil. My wife and kids have told me that I scream the Lord's prayer and that I am not afraid of Satan or evil. I have even commanded that they leave me and my house.
Again, I don't remember a lot of it later other than to ask if I was doing exorcisms in my sleep again.
I have no idea what brings them on or what might trigger them, but it is strange to say the least. I have nothing to do with the church or Christianity anymore yet I apparently am still fighting evil.
Has anyone else had similar experiences?
Demonically Oppressed
Re: Demonically Oppressed
My family stopped going to Church when i was about 14, due to scandals with priests, that being said......the spirits of the Christian pantheon are kind and approachable (IME). You may consider lighting a candle and ask for healing from Michael or some other power whom your familiar.
Re: Demonically Oppressed
I don't really practice this sort of thing much anymore, but I used to consider the pronouncing of the names very important whether or not you choose to vocalize(sing or vibrate) them e.g. the majority of the mundane would use the vulgar two syllable pronunciation for "Michael" (My-kal), but I've always preferred the three syllable formulation: "Mi"(Me)-"cha"(Ky)-"el"(el/al), so it would be pronounced in three syllables as Me-ky-al with a brief pause between each. A user here once also suggested "Me-sa-el", and it does sound sort of nice, but I'm not really so sure about that one.
Michael is supposedly an archangel of the 8th emanation, so with this example you could use a violet/purple candle for the divine world, and Michael is of the archangelic world, so that would be an orange candle. These are all just suggestions based on data documentation and practice.
I also believe that altered modes of consciousness are very important when attempting this sort of thing or just rituals in general, but that's a whole other matter.
And concerning the OP I've had all kinds of crazy shit happen during sleep states, but it's let up some since I'm not engaging in the traditional type rituals anymore – not really. My mindset, focus, and habits are different, but I still feel as having that 'occult nature'.
