Is it possible to make your own cards?

I think that's a beautiful idea to make your own cards. It also increases the value of them to yourself, and with the proper empowerments the cards can carry quite a punch along with your own energy, and a very strong groundedness of the cards to yourself.

I know a woman who makes her own runes and scrying mirrors. She sells some of them, and I've handled a set of runes she made and I was just amazed at the level of energy she created in them.

It would also be a good idea to know what you're making before you do because there are a lot of subtle symbols in the tarot that would be wise to understand because you wouldn't want to miss a key element of one of the characters. Also, doing progressive research would help you in deciding what specific symbols you want in your own deck by how they speak to you.

If you're just learning about the tarot, I'd recommend the Rider-Waite deck, as they're a classic with the basic symbols for you to study. Hope this helps!

just wondering, has anyone here made their own deck? if so, post a pic here, or on the art page... i wanna see, might be interesting
I have three decks in the works, and i tell you even with using Tarot for almost 11 years I am still learning new stuff while creating these decks. for me creating these decks was just a natural step in my tarot journey.

CzC how are things going for you have you gotten any cards done?

Sadly I haven't started yet. Got too many things going on. I plan to start in the holidays, not that I'll have much time then anyway. I have borrowed a few books and have started planning though.
