All my life I have had dreams. I remember experiencing "deja vu" when I was just 6 yrs. old. Just before my parents got divorced I had a dream of my dad being in distress and calling out of help, I can still picture the dream exactly the way I first had it. I still experience "deja vu" on a regular basis.
My mom believes in the use of herbs, and she takes some herbs to help her sleep at night. One night I took some of her herbs to help me sleep. That night I had the most vivid, long-lasting dreams, and I remembered them perfectly. After some experimentation with my mom's herbal pills I found that melatonin was the pill that effected my dreams so much.
Well lately, without taking melatonin, my dreams have become very REAL. The monday after the superbowl I had a dream that I ate bad fish and in my dream I was throwing up. I awoke to find myself spitting on my pillow. I have never had dreams where I've acted them out before in real life. I'm not a sleep-walker. So I found this very odd. Then this past week I've been having dreams, i'm guessing, but it also feels like its actually happening in my waking life.
For instance, this morning I was peeling an apple for my little sister, and I was thinking that I had an apple yesterday. But I really didn't eat an apple yesterday. That's when I decided I needed to get some advice on the matter. Why would my dreams feel like they are so real, almost like i'm living another life.
This past saturday I had a male friend sleep over. That night I had a dream that he actually slept in the bed with me. When I woke up i wasn't sure if he actually slept with me or not. He said he didn't, so I assume it was a dream. But I thought it really happened.
Something is changing about my dreams, but I don't know what, and it's kinda freaking me out and driving me crazy.

I use to get very "hyper real" dreams when I was younger. What I taught myself to do was have there be a sign of my dreaming when things get "hyper real" like that. It might be something like my friend saying he's going on a trip on an airplane. He has a physical birth defect that does not allow him the luxury of flying. Something subtle or it might be something blatently saying "hey this is a dream" like a car flying (with wings like a bird in the sky). Something to tell me hey "I'm dreaming" unless I'm dreaming true for prophetic dreams. Otherwise I'd be very disoriented and not in a good state the next day like I use to be when I was younger.
Try making a dream pillow filled with Chamomille, lavender, mint and other relaxing herbs and essential oils or buy one for restful sleep/protection or positive dreams. By having something for restful sleep it'll help you have dreams that will not disorient you when you wake. Protection to help protect you from having things happen that'll diorient you when waking. Positive dreams to help keep you from having dreams that'll mess with your mind the next morning. A dream catcher I'd reccomend to bring in the kind of dreams you want and keep out the ones you don't want. Also think of something to while you fall a sleep to act as a sign to you that you're dreaming. An alarm that your subconscious will trip if things get too real. Like cutting an apple and the inside is purple with pink polka dots. Cutting a cake and the most beautiful talking faeries with butterfly wings fly out and so on.

Well I guess you could say that dream was prophetic, because the dream came true last night.

Prophetic dreams being dreamed true no matter how terrifying, odd or crazy they may be I'd rather dream than having hyper real disorienting dreams any day. I hope you had lots of fun
