HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Yes, I believe there are three different days the Chinese celebrate as New Year:
- Today, with the sun exactly midway between winter solstice and vernal equinox, ie 15 degrees Aquarius, is one of them. With Neptune involved today (conjuncto sol), let's hope for idealism, imagination and intelligence.
- The most popular chinese new year's eve, is celebrated on the upcoming new moon in the sign of Aquarius on the ninth of february. It is this New Year that the chinese set off fireworks (and in Thailand sprinkle water) to honor their ancestors. (In common belief this day also marks the start of the Chinese astrological year. I have another view on this which I might get back to in another post.)
- The third Chinese New Year is when the Sun enters the chinese sign of the Rat which corresponds exactly with the western sign of Sagittarius, so this occurs around the 23rd of November each year.
