Concerning demons VS microcosm and macrocosm

HI All,
This is not a new question. It has been repeated several times but still here it is

Concerning demons, every mythology has its own way of putting demonic forces.Looking closely, they all represent the normal wish of the mankind,to sow discord,to get money,to acquire power etc etc.

The eastern mythology will have rakshasas, the west would have goetic demons.

This again boils down to the existence of demons. When performing an evocation,am I just letting flow the power of subconscious to an extent where it leads to manifestation of my own thought form or is it an external entity being called forth as a result of the conjuration.

How can one establish the fact if the entity that appears is nothing but the energised thought form of the individual calling forth.

Looking at 10 mythologies, they all will represent angels and demons of some types

It appears to me that its not the demon commanding a legion of demons, but rather my own thought form when reached a certain threshold through the flow of force from the subconsciuos resulting in the manifestation in the actual form. Will that be correct?

Like in the east,I can evoke mahishasur,in the west,I can summon bael or andromalius.

Is it me or is it the demon?

Though my conscious mind is just one dot on the whole of the subconscious, but performing an evocation,is it the demon coming forth or is it me dropping my conscious in total ( a sort of trance) and thus energising through the subconscious.

If that is the case, then the entity thus evoked, wont it be more like a servitor rather than an entity from goetia?

Will the evocation be what you see is what you get?

Thanks

Morphine

This is my belief for what its worth:

Angels, Demons, Elementals etc have an objective reality. That they are very willful entities, and that they are aware of their own existence. Unless I have developed a sudden talent for telekinesis, books falling off a perfectly level and sound shelf, strange rapping sounds in the corner of the room, a glass flying off a table into a stone fireplace without breaking, a strong smell of sulphur within the room, have lead me to this belief plus what I've read and herd from other practicing magicians. And I haven't even tried an evocation to full physical manifestation.

For me the mind (and I don't believe anyone really quite knows how) acts as some form of portal, which in its hightend state allows these entities to make an initial contact in our world/dimension.

I agree with Ekron. Some of these entities may be the product of our consciousness but I think that most of them exist on their own.

While the following quote is from the Thelemic theology topic I find it highly relevant here...and quite frankly can't say it any better.
Fiat Lux 777 wrote:That's open to individual interpretation.....I don't "worship"....but I do "honour" the Gods. Whther they symbolise actual sentient beings, aspects of our subconscious/archetypes, or particular forms of cosmic energy (or, indeed, all of the above) is open to interpretation - to me, it makes no difference because, to paraphrase Crowley, "It doesn't matter whether they exist or not, the universe behaves as if they do."
...thank you Fiat Lux 777

Thanks for the replies.

Yes Frater Qim,I understand that they are complimentary, probably I am confused and in the process of introspection.

" As above so below".microcosm vs macrocosm, the universe as outside lies inside in us.

Frater Manjet, the quote makes lot of sense. In a way for me its much simpler to categorise the energy forces as positive and negative, the sign of duality in anyone's inherent nature.

I find it a bit weird thinking that 100 mythologies might have different names and conjurations for different forces of nature, and they coexist at the same time in N number of different worlds.I feel conjurations or tools are just a way to align one's bent of mind so that the subconscious can flow freely.

Probabaly the manifestation requires the intent.I feel even God can be summoned as a demon and vice versa.

"the universe behaves as if they do"

Yes,probably the universe is a mirror.Mirror for us.

From chaos " Nothing is true, everything is permitted"....How true ..:)

But if that is true, then why reciting Andras brings so much of heat in me....:-D...:-D

Thanks

Morphine
