I know this is often overlooked by occultists but i was wondering on peoples veiws of lesser black magic. The type described in the satanic bible about attracting peoples attention.
I am compiling what you could probablies call a magical dating guide and i want to look at what can be done with lesser black magic rather than using real 'magic' and keeping it for a last resort.
any replies are greatly appreciated.

This is the link for the Library of Knowledge. This is an excellent resource for learning all types of magick. A satanist can use any type of magick or enrgy that they want, there are no sttrict rules. As a satanist, you are not obliged to use magick, although it will give you a better perspective and more controll over situations.
I prefer to use direct magick, instead of ritual. Ritual magick is "greaater' magick and is reserved for special occasion..

I think as far as lesser magic goes, the Satanic Witch is a great resource.
Find places to experiement with it, it works.
Same old story in some cases, I havent tried wearing tightpants and making my wallet look twenty times fatter yet though... ;p

I find, and I think this resonates with LaVey's theory of Lesser Magic, that practical psychology is the key. Try exploring books like "The 48 Laws of Power" or any advertising and marketing books you can find. Also a basic course in Social Psychology is incredibly useful, including such theories as cognitive dissonance, "foot in the door" techniques, the "us vs. them" mentality of group mind, etc.
Another interesting field is Neuro-Linguistic Programing (NLP), there is a guy out there selling the technique as a way for men to seduce women. His name is Ross Jeffries and his courses in "speed seduction" (some of which you can scam off of KaZaa or some such thing) are practical techniques in NLP and he even has a course in magic as well. Though a lot of this is self-hypnosis for the sake of increasing one's self confidence (which is lesser magic as well), there is a lot of genuine 'magical' stuff going in there too.
LaVey had a number of books that would be of interest to you as well. These are listed at the end of his "Satanic Witch," unfortunately I don't have the list on me (or the book anymore) so you'll have to find it on your own. The books may be a little dated but they handle some important issues like the command to look, the function of human sight, etc.

As a Satanist I use alot of lesser magic, and I find that most of the time it is far more effective than any ten hour long full on ceremonial ritual. My best result yet was knowing my Media teachers vice and strongly manipulating him (in my film production) to futher my own grade. To my suprise I maxed out the marks, I got the full 100%!
The great thing about Lesser magic is that everytime you get a result your confidence grows and you become more and more adept at it. There are still some areas I could improve on, but for now I am very happy with my abilities.
