Satanism and politics

Post by Occult Forum Archive »

I'm probably about to piss off some people.it's not my intent but I feel that Satanists are getting a bum rap from some new age groups that are identifying themselves as "Satanic"but stand for ABSOLOUTELY NOTHING Satanic as far as I can tell,I won't list them but you probably know who they are already, they dabble in national and global politics, scare the stupid xtians to death and get US blamed for thier silly ass power games,I think it's time for Satanists to seperate themselves entirely from ANYTHING new age and do it in such a manner that there can be no mistakeing who is who even by a bunch of unininformed Christians.

Your thoughts and ideas?

I'm not sure who these groups are that you refer to as they "dabble in national and global politics". I'm assuming that these are not the same occultnicks and wanna-be kids that smear on some black eye-liners and a few inverse pents and call Satan their Father and take it no further...lol

Got any examples/url's of who you refer to here?

Nope, all the ones I refer to have ticks.I'm not setting up some kid who can't get the LBRP right much less a full demonic bannishing.
I'm referring to huge multinational orgs who refer to themselves as Satanic but are nothing but new agers and Fabian socialists.

i actuaslly once wanted to start a satanic blacks group, just for fun. I have the feeling that the satanic reds are more into socialosm than satanism.

I don't think Satanism has a hell of a lot to do with politics in the usual sense of the word. I think Satanism's take on politics has more to do with freeing yourself and if that ultimately impacts the world in some dynamic way then great. If it doesn't, then to hell with it. This won't make much sense to people who believe that you have to fight "evil" or else become a part of it etc., but Satanism isn't about fighting evil so much - it's about overcoming stupidity and restriction on a personal level. It's also NOT for everybody. I really don't know 10 people personally that I really believe can walk this path on a regular basis and it doesn't really matter anyway. It's a fringe philosophy and it always will be. People trying to make it more mainstream by dragging it into the political arena are making a very fundamental mistake both in terms of Satanism and in terms of herd consciousness and how it works. In the end, they are just making life more difficult for whatever few natural Satanists are lurking about out there. But - what else is new you know? Since these phonies are the ones wearing the party hats and bozo noses, maybe they'll wind up taking most of the heat this time. One can hope so at least... The work itself goes on irregardless...

I think what I find most interesting in the beginning of this thread is a couple of things. One, no specific examples are given to whom is being referred to by the original poster and Two, that one person's interruptation or group's interruptation of what Satanism means to them is in question here. One thing that I found so appealing about Satanism when I first started to research it was that it was based on individuality, and that basically, what was right for me was right for me. My beliefs, ideals, goals, etc. did not have to match some high and mighty organization in order for me to be a Satanist.

Now, I do enjoy politics, I do have multiple articles and the such on my site regarding civil liberties as pertaining to U.S. Law, I am (and have been for many years) the legal advisor to an organization as well as a High Council member (meaning I'm one of the few people that have a say as to what direction any funds can be applied to) of an organization that is international. Does this make me a fluffy bunny? Maybe, but do I care? Nope. I am who I am, and I'm the only one that has to look myself in the mirror everyday and accept what I see.

I guess what i'm trying to get at is WHO CARES? If you don't like them, then don't affiliate with them...it sounds pretty simple to me.
