k. So I know that a Hamingja is like a Gardian spirit that determines how good of luck you get. I also think I read somewhere that keeping your hair healthy is supposed to please it, I'm not so sure about that though.

Dose anyone have anyone have more information on this subject.

Hamingja is something like a spirit which follows your family line... you can inherit it. In the Greenland Saga, Leif Eiriksson ends up acquiring the soubriquet "the Lucky" after his father's death - Eirik possessed a great deal of luck, until he fell off his horse on the way to the ship out of Greenland.

Don't think it really qualifies as a "guardian" though... its function was to provide good luck to a person. You might be thinking of a Fylgla ("fetch")...
