Let's Be Study Buddies

Post by Spiritus_Mundi »

This is a remake of my previous attempt at posting an introduction. The former was lost when I attempted to preview what I had written before posting it.

I am currently studying Latin and would very much like to find some magical-minded Latin study buddies if there are any here who might be interested. In so far as my interest in Latin goes, I was thinking that it might be a wonderful experience to be able to begin studying one or more of the Latin grimoires and esoteric manuscripts in the near future and in the more distant future to attempt some independent Roman cultural and spiritual reconstruction based on the surviving Roman writings.

While I am not now bilingual, I am strongly considering pursuing fluency in multiple languages in order to pursue a career in translation to work either in modern international business and political communication or for the translation of ancient texts into modern languages. Despite wanting to read ancient texts, my spiritual practices and beliefs are surprisingly modern and focus more on efforts to develop telepathy and clairvoyance on a personal level and occasionally to attempt to communicate with aliens on an interpersonal level.

I hope that I find what I'm looking for here and that I make many long-lasting and meaningful friendships :)

I'm learning italian at the moment. I haven't really felt a need to study latin in order to read esoteric manuscripts, I feel that English translations are ok. I feel however when Hebrew is translated into English it loses alot of the meaning so I would like to study Hebrew, in order to understand certain knowledge better.

Latin gets you loads more than just ancient texts, but you know it varies and such
