Dedication ritual valid or invalid?

Post by Shinoby »

Ok so I did a "dedicating your soul to Satan" ritual that I found on that joy of Satan website (btw I'm not into the JOS thing or anything I just came across the dedication ritual while browsing the Internet ), so I did it, and this is how I did it.
I wrote the prayer on the piece of a paper (wasn't parchment paper or anything, it was on the back of a bank statement I got from bank of America) On that prayer where is says " state your full name" I wrote it in pen ink and then spilled a few drops of blood over it, it was from my left index finger but from where the nail cuticle is, cuz it hurts less there. Then I rushed to light the candle, I didn't meditate or anything cuz I was doing it in a hurry so my parents wouldn't catch me doing it.( I did this at around 2:00pm or 4:00pm not really sure)
I proceeded to read the prayer and immediately folded the Paper and lit it on fire, I did this in my close, when I lit the paper on fire I burnt my fingers a little so I dropped the paper ontop of the candle, the paper was burning slow and it started to make smoke cuz the candle was also burning, I didn't want my whole room to start smelling like burnt candle so I picked up the candle ( with the paper which only half of it had burnt ), put it in a cup and poored water on it to put the fire out, the paper didn't burn completely, there was still a chunk of it left.
So in the end I wasn't satisfied and decided to do it again, about an hr after the first try I wrote the prayer again, this time with the metal point of a nail clipper I wore my name with my blood neatly, the next day at around 8:00am I went into the garage where no one would walk in on me, I sat down, I didn't meditate this time either, I just lit the candle, took four deep breaths, read the prayer and burnt the paper, this time it did burn completely, but the whole thing was rushed against, it probably took my about 5 to 7 minutes to do it. But I forgot to say " so mote it be" at the end of the prayer.
Till this day I haven't seen a demon or heard a demon nor Satan, and my life is just as boring as its always been, so my question is, was my ritual valid? Or was it invalid because of the way I did it???
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Possible answers.

1. Satan doesn't exist as an entity.
2. Without astral sight one is unlikely to spot any beings like "demons".
3. Rituals are meaningless without intent.
4. All of the above.

I place my bets on 4.

I think intention is what matters here, not exact words or what you do. If there is any point except to yourself, no idea.

And if you want your life to be less boring you have to do something about that yourself, nobody else will :)

Many grimoires say Satan does exist as an entity: http://www.magitech.com/faust/caput_tertium.html http://www.blackmagick.com/infernal_tarot_cards1.html http://www.demonolatry.org/moderndemonolatry.pdf (this book quotes more than one grimoire)

I would not think they're all wrong.
