Seeing someone else when you meditate

Post by Occultess »

How typical is it to have meditations ...(I guess others might call them visions) about someone else? To the point that you're not even in the meditation/vision at all?

I'd say its not uncommon to see other people when you meditate, assuming that you're close to this person and the meditation provides insight into the plight of said person. I would suggest that visions of people you don't know might be warnings that your path is about to cross theirs in some way, but it could equally be telling you that you need to liaise in some way with this unknown person in order to gain insight or knowledge in an area currently closed to you.

Try keeping a written account of all your meditations, then see if they're drawing you to something or to somewhere.

I keep of log of my meditations already. This particular person figures in them a lot. I don't know him in this life (not personally, atleast), but we know each other from past lives. He may even be some kind of soul-relative.

I will go over my past meditations and see if they are drawing me towards anything. I never thought about looking for that before. Maybe there is something I missed.

Thanks for the great advice and insight, Case! [thumbup] [happyface]

Meditations? I'm assuming you are referring to the astral plane and you are only able to access it while meditating? ::)
Just wondering.

I...er....I don't know. I don't think it's the astral, but I'm still fairly new to all this and I could just be totally unaware.

I suppose a little discription might help to give you an idea of what it actually is. Well, basically, I close my eyes and I see stuff. I don't always get into a really meditative state, sometimes I don't really do much more than close my eyes. But ofcourse, there are times when nothing shows up. But when something does, it varies. It can be just a symbol (could be one I've seen or one I've never seen before) just sort of floating against a black backdrop. It could be other things like, when I was reading this book about what's beneath the Giza pyramids, there was something in the book about one of the gods in the form of a bird, swallowing the Sun in the Egyptian mythology. At some point later on, I have my eyes closed and see it happen. Not like, imagining or daydreaming, but just letting it pass by and watching it. Sometimes I see places that are not of this world, I have wondered sometimes if those might be places in the astral. And things like the one I saw that prompted this question, where it seems more to be a message trying to get through to me using symbolism and things like that. I'm really bad at symbolism, though, so it's a little more like getting a message written in a foreign language you never learned.

I actually left this forum but I came back to reply to you. I hope you can appreciate that. ::)
You don't have to kiss my feet or anything like that. Actually I suggest not to because they're pretty dirty.

You wake up and open your eyes. You wash your face and hit the shower, brush your teeth, chill outside or at an open window smoking a cigarette. This is physical life. But there is a second world. This world is called the astral plane. I see it as a black space with green shapes. If you are protecting yourself with shielding or a circle of protection (This is usually one of the first things you learn in the occult, and if you haven't yet then you should do so immediately) then these things you see are shapes or visions you have been contemplating either actively or absent mindedly. There are a lot of locked memories in your head, my head, their heads ... everyone's head. Therapists use hypnotism to unlock these things but sometimes they just come out all on their own. It could be that you are aware of this naturally. But this usually takes what most call "Awakening".

An awakening is a term used in many various ways. "Vampires" use it as a term to describe them being aware of themselves metaphysically, Buddhists use it as a term of being aware of the world, and their own empathy and understanding. But in the occult world it can describe being aware of metaphysical prowess (potentially speaking) and a general understanding.

My point is ... if you have a shield or a circle of protection (or something similar) then it's likely these things are coming from your sub-conscious. If you don't have a shield or a circle of protection (or something similar), or your shield or whatever is potentially weak, then you are being given this imagery from someone or something else ... I can't tell you which is which.

But if you are a tough ass bitch then you can stand the fuck up and rip the dick off whatever stands against you.
That's pretty much what it's all about regardless of whichever path you are on.

I will try to answer questions if you have any.
If not, then goodbye. ::)

Umm....I think that actually answers things pretty well. Thanks! And I can totally appreciate that you left the group. It just wasn't for you. That's cool. Anyway, thank-you for answering me so well and making a special internet trip to do so.

It could be your fetch. Ever since you started that thread on the fetch I've had to re-think my paradigm. Do you have any abilities to know the future at all? Even if it's only 5 seconds in the future and you don't know what's going to happen? The fetch seems to be the guardian angel (animal advocate according to Caitlin Mathews of Psychic Shield) of the body.

You should interact with him in a meditation or lucid dream. Ask him if he is your fetch. Maybe that bird is a way of directing your attention to the animal side of the fetch?

I mention this because you started a thread on the fetch... another interesting thing.

The person I see is a living person. I just don't know him personally.

Thanks, though.

This relates to this other thread you posted, dosen't it?

http://www.occultforum.org/forum/viewto ... 63#p465863

I remembered you mentioning that in the other thread,but I couldn't find it,till now,lol.

I recall asking you about whether you use trance techniques and I asked that because this kind of connection is often fostered when in states of altered awareness.

I still thinkTrataka exercises would be useful for you.

Have you had any more of these visions about this person, since you first posted?

Yeah, that's the one it relates to.

Yes, I've had many visions of him since I posted. And some before, as well.

I meant to say before but forgot,I think this is what akimbomoss was referring to when he was asking about possible fetch connections:
when I was reading this book about what's beneath the Giza pyramids, there was something in the book about one of the gods in the form of a bird, swallowing the Sun in the Egyptian mythology. At some point later on, I have my eyes closed and see it happen. Not like, imagining or daydreaming, but just letting it pass by and watching it. I 'd say you travel a lot Occultess. You often describe symbols and imagery that suggests you do.This is why I 've asked you about various things, including trance.

I feel you have a lot of ability, you just need to direct it a bit more to help you make more sense of what you experience.

I was thinking maybe try saying hello to this person when you encounter them next time. You see them often,so it's just a friendly gesture in passing.I think what Case said is very pertinent to this and it might help to break the ice, maybe not, but you lose nothing by smiling or saying hi,anyway.

If I astral travel, how come I'm not aware of it? Whenever I hear people talk about astral projecting and stuff, it sounds like such a huge thing. I hear how difficult it is and that it takes years to get there and it always seem like people that get that far are so advanced in there meditative skills that when they meditate, it's like they're there....wherever that happens to be. I'm sooooo far from that level. Sometimes things come it crystal clear, but...not ususally. And it's still not like I'm physically in the scene (if there happens to be a scene).

I don't understand...

And I really don't trance (can't/don't know how) or do anything else of a spiffy nature.

I also....I don't even know if I should be telling this to anybody, but....one night....the guy I've seen......it was weird. It wasn't even anything meditative. I considered it more of an "experience". It was in and out, but....I could see him a bit...err......my eyes didn't necessarily have to be closed (that happens sometimes, too), sometimes it was like I was him or I felt like I was him. I could see him someplace else, but sometimes I got these impressions of him blindfolding me right where I was, binding my hands, embracing me even. The Babylonian god Enki was there with him, too (in the other place that I could see him). He had a Compass Star on his robe (earlier, the guy was shown to be a wearing a pentagram-type necklace except with a ridiculous amount of points). Sometimes I could hear them talking, but I couldn't hear what they were saying. It seemed that I was going through some sort of Masonic initiation. The guy in question has actually had his own "secret societies" with initiations modeled after the Masonic lodge's. Near to the end, Enki's robes were black, but they were a different color prior (don't remember what, though). After things were over, I looked at this mark on my hand and.....I could see him (the guy), but....it felt really intense. It was like looking at that mark let me get a flash of him in the real world or something. I was a bit afraid to look at it for a while afterward. It was cool getting that flash and all, but it was just sooo intense, that feeling that came with it. Hasn't happened since, though.

EDIT:

I'm less sure that was Enki, now. Could be, but....maybe not.

How long have you been practicing energy, meditation (which is often linked with "energy"), and/or the occult? I mean I have seen in the past people who were not even aware of the astral plane act like they were in complete mastery of it. Well maybe not "complete" mastery but you get my point; they were very good at it.

I mean ... geez, all minds work differently. It's just a scientific fact that some people can visualize things better than others. But that doesn't always make your mind less. Sometimes our experiences can set us on a path of awareness that our conscious minds are not aware of. But our sub-conscious mind doesn't really give a shit what our conscious mind thinks. Sometimes our sub-conscious mind goes it's own path and likes to visualize gay sex even when we are not gay. Yeah I've dreamt about a BJ or two. Who hasn't? ::)

My theory is that "Awareness" and "Control" are two different things. You can potentially have a lot of control, but if you are not aware of this control then it doesn't matter, in which case your control just stays dormant even though it both grows and exists based on your visualizations (generally sub-conscious) and experiences (mostly experiences).

Occultess wrote:Whenever I hear people talk about astral projecting and stuff, it sounds like such a huge thing.
Do you think your sub-conscious mind agrees with your conscious mind on this? ::)

My theory is that a lot of people wander the astral while they are dreaming but are simply not aware of it, especially if they are not aware of energy or "shielding" or "circle of protections" and such. It's important to take note that your sub-conscious mind is not generally your friend. That doesn't mean it's your enemy ....... it just is. Sometimes what it tells you and where it goes is absolutely terrifying. Sometimes it feels outstanding. You are not in control of that. Neither am I. Nor is Nahemah. No one is. The mind is a powerful thing, more so than we often give credit for.

Occultess wrote:I hear how difficult it is and that it takes years to get there and it always seem like people that get that far are so advanced in there meditative skills that when they meditate, it's like they're there....wherever that happens to be. Well I am a chaote (chaos) ... special thanks to you brits for inventing it by the way. Well one brit in particular anyway. ::)
What I mean is that I research a lot of various things. I can put myself in their shoes and learn from their specific perspective which I feel is very helpful to me personally. I would be lost without this understanding and I have been in the past.

The POINT is that there is meditation and then there is meditation. The first step to being more aware of the astral plane is to be more aware of yourself and your own personal energy. I'm not trying to proclaim the size of my dick but I have in fact researched quite a lot about this particular subject because I have way tooooo much time on my hands. ::) So I suggest you research something called the "Dead Man's Trance" aka "Death Trance". This will help you on your path to "awakening". Being "aware" is very different from actually being "awake" ... kind of like the difference between dreaming and being truly alive. Life you control, dreams you do not ... You are not your sub-conscious mind no matter how much you try to be. Your only goal, in this regard, is to expand your conscious mind. And the "Death Trance" will certainly put you on the right path towards doing such.

But I digress ... I am curious if you have actually learned how to protect yourself. You don't have to actually know this person. He could have had a crush on you from day one and been too much of a pussy to say so to your face. It could be that he is not awakened and has just been thinking about you a lot thus his sub-conscious mind goes to this higher level with such an intense focus that his energy reaches your unguarded mind.

A shield or a circle of protection will certainly prevent this from happening.

And yeah, I'm still around I guess. I have way too much time on my hands. What can I say? ::)

Meditation for about 8 years (not really continuously, though), energy a year or two maybe (haven't in a while), occult...hmmm........most heavily, I suppose, a year or two, but...there were some aspects from when I was a teenager. Don't think there was anything prior to that.

Well you are an interesting person so if you have any questions or any desire for assistance then I will be happy to help. I generally only teach/help people who deserve it and I think you do. You have a nice energy about you. ::)

For starters, a circle of protection is a circle with occult symbols in it ... sounds simple and it is. It can be really anything at all. I have a circle of protection in my bedroom. It is two circles on an old box cover I hang on my wall, one smaller than the other, and between them are the names of god's that stand out to me personally. I used the four names of the christian God but you can use anything you want, which is what I suggest. I also put in the "Nine Cuts" (ninjitsu) and some symbols. Inside of it I drew the symbol of chaos (8 rayed star) using my own artistic concept.

It's important to note that the "circle of protection" is just a focus. It's really easy, and quick, to send energy into the circle and make your protection stronger at the snap of a finger -- which is really the whole point of it.

Don't draw one like mine. Be as unique as you possibly can. The circle will only work in a general area though. Mine is in my bedroom so it generally only works on my home unless I make it strong enough to cover a wider area.

This will at least protect you from astral invasion while you are in your home -- unless you push more energy into it which will protect you when you go on a walk or to a neighbor's house and such. It does not have to be a painting (or in my case a cardboard lid) as it can also be a pendant or ring, or some sort of jewelry. Remember that the circle itself is just a focus and you can grow beyond your focus when you are experienced enough to focus without the focus, so to speak. As I said above, the whole goal is to expand your consciousness. ::) If you want to use jewelry then I suggest something that is personal to you as you will focus on it and take it far more seriously being that the previous owner of the jewelry is important to you.

Thanks! [happy2]

I drew up a little prototype to see if it was what you were saying. So, I can see if I've got the basic form down. Is this about right?

Image

And I've got another question....after I've got the circle of protection, am I suppose to stick new energy in it whenever I want to use it or does there come a point when it's got enough energy to work without furthur intervention?

...and thanks [smile]

Yep. You have the freedom to make it look like whatever you want.

The circle itself is just a focus. It's technically you that are doing what the circle only defines ... or rather helps you define. With enough practice and experience you wouldn't need a circle anymore. You don't have to worry about things like sentient energy and what not. You're a long way away from having to understand something like that. ::)

But anyway it tends to last a while when it's not doing anything. I mean it's not like a spell where you have to keep things in supply. When it's just doing it's thing, and you aren't being attacked or probed and such, then I suppose it drains away very very slowly ... kind of like the smoke from a cigarette I guess. But you puff on it and it drains the cigarette away faster. In this case puffing would be when someone is probing you or doing any number of occult type things. Then the energy drains from the circle faster in order to sustain it's purpose; protection. If it's just a probe then not much energy is required, if you somehow piss off the entire IoT then obviously you're going to need more energy to stop something or someone much stronger than a probe. So you're going to have to scale it at your discretion.

And I think it goes without saying that for a circle of protection negative and raw energy isn't going to help you. Try thinking of someone you care about, like old grandma or something, and turn your energy into something more positive. Negative energy doesn't like being used for defensive purposes in the same way that a shark will never save you from drowning. ::)

I've got a big mouth and I can count the times I've been attacked like this on one hand in the last decade. So you probably don't have much use making a big deal out of sustaining the circle permanently. As a focus it's there, and when you need it the purpose is already defined for you, and by you, so you just flick the switch and power it up--and ta-da. Instant protection.

If you have trouble with it meeting it's purpose then try something a bit more physical like lining down some salt around your property as best you can. This line will stand out in your head and will act as a definition for where the walls rise up. Of course if you try using a piece of jewelry you wear then you can't do this and require more focus and intent (willpower).

No biggie. ::)
