Interesting Dieties.
I have a somewhat... interesting relationship with my patron god. More a mutual aknowledgement of each to the other. Neither of us demands any service of the other but I have on several occasions felt his presence and blessing during my workings. I make no claims of being chosen by him as in all honesty I found his name in a book of mythology and because I liked what i read I built him a small shrine and sent out a call, which he answered with surprising ease given how far I am from his traditional territories. My patron is the celtic god Dag'de, also known as the walker in the woods, a patron of magic as well as a warrior god with dominion over life and death. His element is primarily earth therefore also atuning him to defensive and healing magics. All in all a well rounded diety in my opinion, this even disregarding the fact the he is the head of his pantheon. Does anyone else have a similar relationship with their patron/matron and how did it come about?
As above, So below.

Similar indeed I do or did - but not in any sense of the way ye think.
Boann his wife, in a manner(ahem), holds some of the aspects that ye attribute to him - most celtic deities have a male and feminine aspect. These aspects are also mutable given the time, place, and tribe...

I'd like to know more about this as I've always simply felt these powers ran according to the traditional items of power attributed to him in mythology namely harp club and cauldron. I had no sense of a female presence, though I'll admit I'm not very perceptive of such things.
