Hi.
I found this site a few days ago and have been reading a bit. There seems to be a lot of friendly, knowledgeable people here so I am hoping to have great discussions that will make everyone grow. Magic or the occult has been with me for many years but at the same time it hasn´t. (I hope that sentence makes sense.) During my teens I hanged out with a group where most were active in different ways. I never got on, can´t really say why. Since then most people I have become friends with have turned out to either be or have been active (describing themselves as pagan, wiccan and other definitions). About 3 years ago I started reading a bit. Took an interest in chaos magick which I feel corresponds well to my mindset. Got fascinated by Austin Osman Spare and sigil magic. Read "Modern Magick" by Michael Donald Kraig and a few other books that I don´t remember the titles of. But I still didn´t feel that it was something I wanted to practice. (Except for a Tarot deck which I have used from time to time; the Rider-Waite Edition).
But things started to change a few months ago when I started reconsidering some of my world views and views of myself. This has led up to the point where I feel that this is the most natural continuation for me. Now I am re-reading Modern Magick since I remember it to be a practical guide for the beginner. I still feel that the paradigm of chaos magick seems more reasonable and that sigil magick seems like a great technique but mostly I am up for an exciting journey into this. I will make sure to not only read but practice a lot.
As for education I (almost, one exam left that keeps evading me) have a bachelors degree in behavourial science (major sociology). Some of you might have guessed that based on my choice of alias. So, thats a bit about me. I am from Sweden, could be added.
