Liber Occursus proposes that, according to Occult theory, there is a Demonic Power coming to and leaving its reign during each hour of the day. This means that we are each psychically linked to two Demonic energies based on the conditions of our birth. Like a type of "Sinister Astrology," Liber Occursus aims to discover the Name's of these Demons and produce an experience with them, which serves as the Key to unlock all other Black Magick.

That looks rather complex, but maybe I'm just simple. Basic run down?

This is visually overwhelming at first but it is not that complex. Think of them as slices of a pie which shows the relationships between the demons of the Goetia in the outer sphere and the angles that rule them in the middle, who are in groups under the archangels in the center. They are arranged according to their elements and places in the zodiac.

Example: Evoking Baal.

When you evoke Baal you place his sigil on the mirror. On the reverse side you place the sigil of the angel who rules him (to keep his power safe and in check). Baal is #1 so the angel who rules him is Yehuiah (who works for the Archangel Michael). You’ll see Baal is in Aries and directly above him is the symbol for Mars in the ring for the Planetary Hour: you evoke Baal when the moon is in Aries during the Planetary Hour of Mars.

That all means, you can evoke Baal on Sept. 21 since that is when the moon is next in Aries, and my local time (San Francisco) you can perform this operation at 12:04 – 1:02 AM in the Planetary Hour of Mars. That’s when you reach him. But, on Sept 20 (Moon in Aries) at 1:02 -2:00 AM (Planetray Hour of Sun) you would want to invoke Yehuiah in preparation for the Goetic operation.

Note: please don’t run off and just do this on a whim!

Additional Note: This also shows why it is important to have a relationship with the Higher Powers which control the demons of the Goetia rather than just walking in the dark. But, those who have worked this system in detail on the Forum can explain this better.
