I have been trying to learn and practice the Necronomicon- mostly due to the fact I am looking for a system of magick which works with the Sumerian to Babylonian Pantheons. I know it is considered fake and all the other arguments against it; it has taken me 20 years looking at it before I have considered trying to work it. One problem I have, is I found the "Papers in the Attic with their forum of the Asaru Tradition. As a mind control cult escapee; I keep hearing familiar sounding rings when I deal with the people there. I would like a mentor type of situation in my nec:. travels, I am wondering if they are the only show in town. Maybe we are just having bad commo. I do like the data in Papers in the attic; just finding myself using so much 'mind guarding' that I feel overly sensitive. I seem to often feel a 'slapdown' by someone- it seems a demeaning slapdown one gets from 'leaders' who feel to demean in order to control. I brought it up to them yesterday and got the highly expected " sorry you perceive it that way- that is not what happened" ie, your pereception of my actions suck.
Anyone got anything on this situation. I would like input.
