Spiritual Alchemy Books for Beginners?

Post by ThreeWhens »

Hello, everyone. I've become very interested in spiritual alchemy lately, but haven't been able to find many good books on the subject. Most books I come across are about lab alchemy, not spiritual alchemy.

I'm looking for a book that covers all the basics of spiritual alchemy (e.g. the spiritual metals, the psychological and spiritual processes of calcination, dissolution, etc.)...does anyone know of any books like that?

Much of the spiritual alchemy is simply symbolic of what one is undertaking in High Magick. Lead being the uninitiated personality, purified and turned into perfect "gold". This "gold" is the sun of course (consciousness), and refers to the Qabalistic sun of Tiphereth (6). The books you're looking for are actually any high magical system. Take for example the common symbols employed in such traditions as "sulphur", mercury, and salt". The three alchemical agents, congruent with the three gunas, and the three stones of the Agnaw used heavily within these traditions. The "perfect happiness" promised by "The Philosophers Stone", is the Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel (HGA). This is symbolic of the Great Work, unity of the macrocosm and microcosom, the Pentagram and Hexagram respectively.
