Subtle errors on a sigil

Post by malachite »

So I am practising drawing the sigil for Castiel. Not a big challenge. I divided it into 4 steps

Image

1) Make a circle.
2) Draw the half circle with the vertical stripe, and the curls at the bottom.
3) Draw the "R" shape thing with the horizontal and vertical lines.
4) Finish it by drawing the "S" with the dots in the right places.

That's about it. But as I am progressing I keep making these tiny subtle errors:
- Stripes that aren't long / short enough. (Look at the red lines at the picture.)
- The dots that aren't correct
- The "S" that isn't big enough, stuff like that.

I was just wondering how much of these small errors are still "accepted" as part of a "correct" sigil.

I am new to the forums, but this post actually was the incentive for me to sign up.

Such subtle errors in a sigil are not going to affect much, as long as the errors do not significantly change the shape, to give it another meaning, it should work entirely fine.

You can think of it as writing your signature.. you dont write it perfectly every time, but it is certainly your signature which uniquely identifies you.

Do you still know what it signifies?
Good.
Next!

Draw a pentagram in the air with a dagger.
Worried about the lines not being perfect?
Don't!
It's not the actual pentagram that matters, it is your intention behind it.

Are you thinking about the line as you are drawing?
BAD!
Stop, think about why you are doing it, not how you are doing it.

I agree, it is not how you are doing it, but why.
bye bye

I summoned him last night and after the ritual I desided to make a few pictures of my room.

Orbs...
Before the ritual I didn't notice any orbs on the pictures I took
After the ritual I did notice orbs on one picture. And these orbs I have also noticed after practising the namishing ritual of the penragram. Can these orbs be related to my practising and the summoning?

A.) You kicked up dusts when moving around doing the ritual.

I echo desecrateds assessment. Maybe take some control shots with your camera, without flash, and see if you can reproduce.

In my experience what you describe does happen.. areas around where an entity has been summoned can feel charged, almost like static, even after the ritual / process has been completed and closed.
