Screaming

Post by findingtruth »

So I have yet another friend who's been having some weird things happen. Before I begin, I want to say that he came from JOS but left and is studying Demonology now. Anyway, for as long as he can remember, he's had dreams where he gets up and has a normal day until he finds something strange or does something wrong which is when voices start screaming until he wakes up.
When he has a fever, he hears the voices but they aren't screaming and he can see the room he's sleeping in in his dream.

I don't know a whole lot about dreams so I don't know if this has any occult significance or not. Even if it doesn't have to do with the occult, do any of you know a way he can stop this from happening or learn to control/hear what the voices say?

Why does the JoS always seem to attract such damaged individuals? Maybe because it claims to be such an open and free system of belief, while directly mocking other faiths as being inferior to its teachings. Hmmm... where have I heard that line before? [grin]

Your friend needs to go see a doctor. If he, has such vivid and persistent dreams where he is doing something he sees as being 'wrong', and then gets screamed at for doing it, he may have some form of suppressed memory that is impacting directly upon his subconscious, or some impacted guilt complex. Hearing voices and hallucinating can also be a sign of mental illness, especially if your friend is only relatively new to the study of the occult. Your friend also doesn't sound like he is particularly suited to a study of chthonic entities, and his damaged psyche may be using such devices to make its presence known.

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys, I figured that might be your responses lol JoS isn't the only ones attracting damaged individuals, they seem to swarm me... I always hope there's an occult reason for these things as no one wants to be told they have a mental issue. It almost seems like a demon whispering (or in this case screaming) in the night is less scary than a mental problem.

Even if it was an occult problem, you should always try and eliminate all other possibilities first.

Go see a doctor and talk about not being able to sleep, see if some sleeping pills helps.
If the voices is still there, go see a psychiatrist, get some meds, go through with the therapy and see if that helps.
If not, start looking into things like pollution, magnetic fields or any other possible physical influence that might cause it. Try taking in to a hotel for a couple of days, go visit a friend, talk some long walks, try and cross some water.

If you've done all of that, and it still persists, then we can start to suspect occult reason.

Yes, always go for medical reasons before claiming it's a spiritual occult issue, Sure it's possible, but it is FAR more likley for it to be an underlying emotional issue that needs to be dealt with and talked about with a professional in a responsible way. This is why "Grounding" is so important, you may mistake serious health issues as a spiritual experience and then Severely mess your body or mind up.
Emotional issues that are dealt with properly can then become a profound epiphany like experience, but that all boils down to knowing and understanding yourself on a deeper level than some venture to go.
Psychology, medicine ect all used to be a part of the occult, and imo, shouldn't be overlooked in the importance of it today.
just because a therapist doesn't seem like "flashy, spiritual, dark mastery "sort of thing, doesn't mean that it isn't profound or helpful. Infact the basic foundation of magick is very mundane and are daily activities.
I suggest he seek professional help such as a therapist to develope the tools and understanding to cope with and overcome his issue. [thumbup]
