Books I have and wanted to share the titles

Post by malachite »

I've got a couple of Gothic, horror, fantasy, spiritual books I wanted to share. I'am not selling anything, most of the books I 've found inlocal (Dutch) stores and E-bay. Google them and see for yourself.

Clare Gibson - "How to read Symbols A crash course in the meaning of symbols in art".
A guide to symbols found throughout time and countries. Very interesting to symbol lovers. Many illustrations ofcourse. (I baught the Dutch version. 250 pages.)

Matthew Bunson - "The Vampire Encyclopedia" (2000)
Encyclopedia with all kinds of things related to vampires from various species, to many beliefs in many countries. I baught it in 2000, not the newest book. No illustrations. 300 pages.

Donald Tyson - "Necronomicon, the wanderings of Alhazred"
I baught the English version, no idea if there is another, from 2005.
Never read it through yet, but still planning. 270 pages. Very few illustrations, seals only.

And last but saddest, because there's no English version.
Guido Derksen - Martin van Mousch - Jop Wijwaard: "Geillustreerde atlas van het hiernamaals"
(Translated from Dutch: "Illustrated atlas of the afterlife")

James Wasserman - Art and symbols of the occult (1993)
Pretty old book found by me on E-bay containing art from vaious origins; occult, kabbalah, etc. 120 pages and at least one illustration per page. English.

Awesome guide with many descriptions of the afterlifes where people go after they die; Christianity, Islam, Buddism, Walhalla....etc.Pretty awesome illustrated, but sadly only in Dutch.

In my opinion this is some of the greatest occult fiction ever written.

Love, love, love it.
