Angel Sigil Question

Hi all. My intro has recently been posted but for a quick recap, I'm new to the practice of magick with only about three weeks of active LBRP, basic Middle Pillar exercises, visualizations, meditations, and reading. (Using Kraig as my quide atm as a primer.)

So, I also received a book by Konstantinos about summoning and I know very well that it is something I won't ever be attempting anytime in the future until I work on my will, intents, balance, and visualizations. However, with that noted, does simply possessing a sigil of an angel with a specific purpose, and having at least some mental focus on it have any effect even though you haven't previously done a full blown evocation of it for help? Does even a slight focus or awarenes, or even a few words of seeking aid have an affect?

Just curious. I found a helpful angelic being in Konstantinos, drew the sigil and basically said "I hope you hear me on this." And put it in my pocket close to my chest.
