theory vs practice summoning

Post by Asha_88 »

Hello ! [happy]

I would like to have some advices from people who summon demons regulary. I've read LaVey satanic bible, the Key of solomon , demonolgy and the goetia book by S.Connolly. I would really like to practice a bit what I read in these books, but I don't want to mess up, I take it very seriously and I would like to take my time to be ready. Can you help me out with the ritual ? So if I follow the steps " by the book" , I would draw a normal circle ( to protect me ) where I wil sit and actually call the demon by meditate on his enn and sigil. Right in front of me , I should install the altar with the offering , incense , sigil and four candles for the east, west , north, south. Then he will manifest by an energy , physicalpresence etc. And after I ask him what I need, I invite him to quit and banish the place and then, quit the circle. It's a naive representation of a summoning but it is correct ? Because I'm a bit lost with the plenty of theories you can find in books....thanks! [message]
P.S. I will not do it until I' m 100% sure of what I'm doing so it's not for tomorrow!

Hello friend :)

Try to read very carefully. Demons are perceived to be a challenge to work with but you'll want to take the necessary steps to get this task done right. I can suggest some grimoires to you that often involve similar forces.

Simon Necronomicon (aka The Necronomicon, and the Necronomicon Spellbook)
The Lesser Key of Solomon
Grimoirium Verum
The Black Pullet
The Grand Grimoire (Red Dragon)

The simplest I believe of these that, at least I've attempted to work with is the Simon Necronomicon Spellbook, as it contains 50 spirits to work with. At least in my experience, they have generally worked to my success. The others books are quite elaborate, and require constant fasting, focus, prayer and purification.

I work with crystals, poppets, herbs, candles, colors, strings and such. I'm not so sharp on the subject of theory I specialize in different sorts of magick. But I do recall the possibility of needing a drawing of a magick triangle on the ground to manifest and contain the demon.

I don't want to mislead you so I can't say for sure. What I will say is study often, practice as you see fit. I don't know your skill level or experience but I am assuming you are not a beginner. You seem knowledgeable about these topics. Until then I'm sure someone can provide a little more help than I can.

I am presently reading a book of black magick history called "The Black Arts" by Richard Cavendish. It's covering the overall basics but not a step by step procedure for summoning in detail. You have regularly practiced banishment rituals right?
"...You must never lose sight of who and what you are, and what a threat you can be, by your very existence. We are making history right now, every day. Always keep the wider historical and social picture in mind. That is an important key to both Lesser and Greater Magic. See the patterns and fit things together as you want the pieces to fall into place. Do not be swayed by herd constraints—know that you are working on another level entirely from the rest of the world." -Anton LaVey

Thank you again for the suggestions, I will try to found them at the library !

I read a lot of books on the subject, but I didn't feel ready to practice , specially the banishment ritual and I know that's actually the most important part. I don't feel like it's explained a lot in books ..

Probably you'd better start with some begginer books ? Try Summoning Spirits by Konstantinos, Modern Magick by Kraig or Franz Bardon's Practice of Magical Evocation (Bardon really explains everything very thoroughly).
From the books that suggested DarkSchneider the easiest one is the Necromonicon Spellbook. You just need 2 white candles, a piece of paper and a pen.I was working with it back a while before I had any knowledge about magick. It worked all the time. However now I do not work with it and don't recommend you either.

@RockDemon, I'm quite curious but why is it that the Simon Necronomicon is to be avoided? I'm quite curious about that.

Is it taxing on the user? Dangerous?

Thank you RockDemon for the suggestions! :) Can I ask you why you don't recommed the Necromicon ?

Well these spells work in a strange way. In the end you get what you want but not the way you expect it to be neither how you get it. Also maybe it is just me but this book had some strange effects on me just from reading it. And at the time I felt like "the book" owned. And to this day it seems that it somehow affects me. It is hard to explain. I worked with a few other entities outside necromonicon yet, but still I kind of can feel its' echo. And somehow I know that one day it is going to call me back to work with it again.
But I want to point out that as I already said at the time I was working with the spellbook I actually had no experience with magick as of today so maybe all of these was just because of inexperience.
But anyway if you are going to use it start with Barashakushu. And avoid the death spells. Do not use them.
You can try Barashakushu for the love spell (you asked for it in another thread), it worked in my case...

I've had excellent success with Barashakushu. He's a very useful spirit to work with.

Thank you , I will try to work with him and I will give you a feedback about it. One question though ; is he recommended for begginers ? Is it less risky for me than working with Orobas for example?
Thanks!

I don't know who Orobas is. There is no such spirit in the fifty names. Barashakushu is said to be the kindest of the 50. My experience showed that he is indeed. So he is beginner friendly.

I'm sorry , I didn't explain it [blush] . Orobas is a Goetia demon.

Oh, I see.. I don't have any experience with the Goetia yet. But anyway as much as I know Goetia is not beginner friendly in general. So your best bet is Necromonicon spellbook and Barashakushu.

If you are a beginner and is interested to work with demons and demonic magic I suggest the following books-

http://www.amazon.com/The-Complete-Book ... 0966978862

http://www.amazon.com/The-Complete-Book ... 0966978889

The first book will give you details on how to choose demons and work with them in a manner that will be less risky. It also contains exercises and rituals that will enable you to connect with them, and they are quite potent. But remember that this book is written on more religious perspective. Nonetheless, it will be invaluable for you and goes hand in hand with the second book which deals with demonic magic as practised by the Demonolators. In addition, you can buy 'Initiation into Hermetics' by Franz Bardon. It will help you to develop your skills in general but will be handy when dealing with demons or any other beings for the matter. Best of luck [thumbup] .
