What color is i?
What color is i?
I've recently taken my first steps into the practical application of Bardon's Key to the True Qabbalah, and I have some issues with his color associations.
'A' being light-blue comes extremely natural to me. I've really never had a problem with colored intent. It's when it gets to the physical side, like the elements, that I have issues. Something that shouldn't be a problem here.
I was reading ahead a little bit, and I particularly wanted to see his association for the letter 'I'.
Now, he says that's it's an opalescent color, which would be similar to the color of Mercury (although Mercury is very orange as well), and that it consists of green, violet, red, and blue.
Personally, 'I' is really, really green to me. No other colors, no opal, just solid, mid-dark green. I don't have that feeling with very many other colors/letters. A couple numbers are very strongly colored in my mind, but not so much any other symbols.
I'm just wondering if it's possible that Bardon, by this point, added a few intentional blocks in this book.
IIH and PME were very open, although they were still written in a language where you needed to be fairly adept in the basics of human knowledge to comprehend everything (ie. basic math, sciences, all that useful crap you learn in school.)
This would only be my second time reading through this book, and my first time applying anything, but I can sense a shift in the tone of writing, even in the English translation.
I'm not saying my gut is smarter than an incarnated, highly-adept wizard, but it hasn't ever been wrong before, so..
What do you guys think? Are any of you practitioners in speaking the creative language? Honestly, the only reason I remembered to pick up the book again was because I felt like it was time to progress for myself, and it was about the last one I left off on. I didn't want to stumble into an issue this early into the book.
Any insight you guys could offer would be appreciated. Thanks for letting me steal your time.

I don't have much time at the moment. To be very brief, Bardon is using the Hebrew letters and with them the Hebrew pronunciation. Different pronunciation = different intonation = different vibration = different colors and different magic. This is part of why Runic Incantation or Vedic Incantation is different too. Different pronunciation = different sounds = different vibration.

@Cyberdemon; I can relate to several of those associations, but not all of them. Thank you for this list.
@Shinichi; So, it's possible that the 'I' I'm pronouncing in my mind is a different wavelength than the 'I' Bardon is trying to have me pronounce?
I understand the idea, I just can use the concept to progress.

Everyone does not see the same exact frequency of color even though they may perceive a similar tone of color,
For example: my "red" ... may not be the same "red" as yours...
I believe that cyberdemon has a good intuition on this,
So inspired me to write this:
Use the six sides of a die/dice,
1/A/White
2/E/Red
3/i/Green
4/o/Blue
5/U/Yellow
6/Y/Black
Also...
If you feel that you are on the right track but lack the correct configuration ... you must figure out the correct configuration; I am trying to figure out the same thing but with unconscious binary signals.
Hope this helps. ~

This reminds me synesthesia. Does synesthesia have correlations here?

I've questioned this myself the past few days.
The only way to really know is to ask a bunch of people with this syndrome to give their color and tone correspondences and see how related they are.

I have this syndrome, but I'm just one person so my opinion won't matter. Anyone else?
Re: What color is i?
Yes. I don't know exactly how you are intoning it, or exactly how Bardon intoned it for that matter either (since he had his own accent, being Czech), but you can look up the Hebrew letter and try to make sure you are intoning the same sound that Bardon documented at least. Since the Hebrew i and the English i are different sounds.Haelos wrote:@Shinichi; So, it's possible that the 'I' I'm pronouncing in my mind is a different wavelength than the 'I' Bardon is trying to have me pronounce?
I understand the idea, I just can use the concept to progress.
Also, each letter is slightly different on the different planes. So doing it Mentally may give you a slightly different wavelength than Energetic/Astrally vibrating it, or vibrating it Physically alone. And doing all three at the same time has a particular effect too. This is why Bardon lists different magical effects for the letters and formulae he gives, depending on whether you are Vibrating the sound or formula Mentally, Astrally or Physically.

Here's some of my associations.
A - Green
B - Red
C - Orange
D - Black
E - Yellow
F - Orange
G - Purple
1 - White
2 - Blue
3 - Yellow
4 - ?
5 - orange
6 - light green
7 - red
8 - cobalt
9 - yellow
10 - white
Particularly my associations help with memorizing, like times tables when I was young. I know that 7 x 3 = 21 because 7 is red, 3 is yellow and 21 is black.
And for understanding music, ex: I know that d# minor has 6 sharps because it is light green.
Whereas g# minor is purple so I know it has 5 sharps etc.

To me - this is very valuable,
So valuable that I want to turn it into a php application that converts what is typed - into the colors that you see in paragraphs and numbers. ~
You get to name this app.
I would love to be able to see how you see!
