What does it mean to cross paths with a spider?

I found a spider on a college application letter of mine. It's a big black one and I'm currently scared of spiders (I wasn't in the past). I prayed to Lucifer to send me a sign and as soon as I looked round it was there, I was asking for a sign unrelated to college but I keep crossing paths with spiders and Idk if it makes a difference I'm scared or not but this really feels like the sign. I heard really bad things about that particular college aswell. Does this mean anything atall?

a lot of people are "scared" of things but is this an actual fear or an uneasiness? A healthy uneasiness with critters, bugs, things that bite and have poison, is okay, but a debilitating fear should of course be worked out by any serious occultist.

Spiders are symbolically rich and spiritually powerful beings who (as other commenters suggested) can travel between astral realms and whose webs are microcosms of our shared reality. People often forget that venomous animals are also associated with healing, wisdom and medicine. Plus spiders are just cool. So if anything I'd read it as a good omen.

Not to demean or belittle but you may be reading into something that is not actually there. You may be subconsciously "tripping yourself out" which is giving yourself suggestions hypnotically. You now "see spiders" as opposed to "not seeing them before" only shows me that you have awakened your subconscious to alert you to the eight-legged fly killers(I am no fan of flies) all due to witnessing one on an important document you have been contemplating.
