A wish spell

hi all

I am new to the world of magick, however I am keen on learning more and believe that with the right practice and time I can be a very successful practitioner of magick.
however my question right now is that I am in desperate need of a wish spell, I know of the basic candle spells and I am going to try one of them soon but I do not trust the sources from which I found the said candle spells.
as there are very experienced and wise practitioners here on this site, please can one of you help me ?
I would prefer a spell without a lot of herbs or oils as I have no means of getting them for the next three days and the wish needs to happen within the next four days. a basic candle spell with a few ingredients would be ideal

The good thing with magick is that the physical procedure doesn't matter. The only thing that actually does it is your mind.

I could talk to you in a way that you would believe I am some kind of god and tell you that by breathing for 5 seconds and screaming some weird name your desire would come true. And it would probably be so. Your belief of it and the subsecuent physical reaction of your body would be all the things needed. Get the point?

What has worked for me personally is Visualization into Desire into Feeling progressively until culmination. Afterwards dettach and forget about it.

Any method you find will work as long as you believe it suitable and you do it properly.

The right kind of words helps, but most of the time you still have to come up with them. Spellbooks are great because you can study the format of spells and figure out how to make your own, but at the same time: The most important thing is to speak your words with intent and conviction.

What a candle does is releasing your spell over a longer period of time. So if put your will and intent into the candle when lighting it, you will reap the benefits of it as long as the candle is burning. So instead of saying prayers for 7 days straight, you take a 7 day candle and it will do the praying for you.

what everyone else said is good, just a tip to add based on what you said about getting herbs and oils over the next few days. Chances are you have everything in your kitchen to make a one shot oil, you don't have to make a lot and you don't even have to make enough to save, just quickly (but gently) heat the herbs you have around the house in some olive oil and dress your candles with it. You don't even have to strain it. A simple wish/luck combo that you might have is cinnamon, lemon, and chamomile(I drink this tea a lot so always have some, but I bet you can find a good replacement in your kitchen for it!) It is fun to get the right oil, all the ingredients online, and a pretty bottle, but it shouldn't stop you from using an oil when you need it

Grab 3 leaves of Bay (laurel, the one for cooking) write your wish in each one, preferible in one word like "love", "sex", "money" etc (you can sigilize your wish into one word, that would a mush up of witchy magic and chaos magick hehehe I do things like that and it works fine) use a pen with a suitable color (red for sex, pink for love, green for prosperity or money, yellow is for money too or success, etc) or just use black. I usally use yellow because laurel is a solar herb. "charge" your leaves holding them with both hands and blow your breath on them to give them life. Burn them using a candle. Might be the colour you think fit, or just use white. Burn them one by one.

It depends if they burn completely and how they burn on how your wish will come true or if it's gonna come true at all.

Also you can use knot magic. Buy a cord, hopefuly of a natural/organic non plastic material. Anoint the cord with a suitable oil. Use 3, 5, 7 or 9 knots depending on waht you wish. Keep it with you until your desire comes true. Then burn and blow the ashes, burry them, as you please.

With all that has been said you can make a pretty good wish spell. Keep it simple, don't over do it. Magic is in the simple things.

Candle spells are great! I've found the properties of the wax hold energy and intent very well. Plus they're simple and cheap and easy to create your own, and if done with the proper focus can be quite powerful.

Really all you need is a candle in the corresponding color of your wish (green for money, red for love etc.) or just use white as an all-purpose color if that's all you can get. You do need an oil or something to dress it with, olive oil from the kitchen works fine. It does help to leave an offering, like herbs or a small object that represents your wish (coins or bills for money, cinnamon or honey for love etc.)

Then you just dress your candle with the oil while WORKING* your intention into it with your words and your hands. Imagine your candle is the purest incarnation of your wish made physical. You can leave your offering around the candle, and either write your wish on paper and put it under the candle or just carve it into the candle directly. Then light the candle and WORK* the flame by speaking or chanting your wish into it, and sending it out into the Universe to come to fruition. If you want to write a spell or use a pre-existing one that's fine; I've had equally good results just chanting my desire with strong intent. The offering serves as payment and you should also put a time limit on it, like "may my wish come to pass by the third full moon" or whatever.

*This WORK is where the magic happens. Choose ingredients that spiritually align with your wish, but they can be very simple. The magic happens between you, the wax as a tool for holding your intention, and the flame as a tool for releasing it.
