Hello all.
I'm slowly reading through the posts here, looking forward to interacting with everyone. I used to enjoy being on occult-themed discussion forums and am only now coming back to the habit. This one looks interesting. [twisted]

That's an interesting website you have in your signature there. Does that happen to be your website?

Whoa. I didn't know that you could do reiki long distance. That is crazy. I am very interested in reiki and energy working in particular. Would you be willing to recommend any books that you used to achieve your reiki energy manipulation abilities other than the class? (I'm assuming there is a class)

I was taught in person by a teacher in the UK. But I think the three Reiki instructors I admire most with open-access info are William Rand (free articles: http://www.reiki.org/reikinews/reikinews.html), Penelope Quest, and Pamela Miles (blog: http://reikiinmedicine.org/reiki-blog/). I also like the "Quantum Touch" series of books by Richard Gordon. You can look into those to get started. The attunements are real, but you don't need to be attuned to do Reiki. If you get attuned, you just have a particular "flavor" to your work--which is as much a matter of how you were taught as it is about reiju. There's a lot of woo tossed around about energetic healing techniques. But they do work if you know how to approach them the right way.Dr Strange Stuff wrote:Whoa. You might also be interested in Josephine McCarthy's book on healing techniques since you are already a magical person: http://a.co/fPHl6dx. A decent explanation of distance healing: http://healing.about.com/od/distantheal ... ealing.htm
