God could be all kinds of things. God could represent nearly any idea, and have the potential of anything. On this forum alone we can see that God can even be SATAN [yay]

Defining God is only as possible as we are able to define anything, and right now, that can be pretty vast.

What matters is how we define ourselves, and our world, and how we act in it.

Religion makes the attempt to quantify God and His plan by posing the argument that what we need is what God requires of us. Religion would teach us how to survive and interact so that we all best accomplish what needs to be done.

An irreligious person is just as capable of exemplifying the moral goals of a religious person. How is this so? It would mean that what is "good" is obvious to anyone, regardless of what they are told to believe. We do not need God or the awareness of God to be Godly. Truly, these ideas came from an awareness of God, but in our day, it is not absolutely necessary that we have one.

The problem is who is God? Ask yourself, "What is God to me? What is the personality that God may represent, and what does this God prompt me to do?"

If your God is sex, how does that make you behave? Defining a great God is a good way to define yourself. [cool]

The first priority of people as parents should be to teach the idea of free will, and the moral reasoning to good choices. After I have accomplished this awareness, I would then be qualified to take on a religion or a God as designed by such things. Being forced to become a particular faith is detrimental to society and my individuality, and my rights as a living, willing being. I am not saying that religion is bad or unnecessary, I am saying that we should not expose our children to something so vast as they attempt to understand such a complicated world of society and knowledge.

When you mentioned God, I thought of The GOD at first, but then you took a dive in to some small random philosophical ideas that failed to tie up and manifest in to anything tangible, visible with naked eye..
Is this current dormant mental state of yours part of your growth process? A phase of cocoon perhaps?

1. The God is the universe in which you and me are just a two cells out of billions of cells in it's physical, spiritual and mental body. A God is an old (at least I don't care for wannabe youngsters) and powerful higher entity that may assist you if you ask nicely.
There, all nice and tidy in two short sentences.

Nope. There is no free will in that, how free are you if you are given only one of two choices? There is only illusion of choice enforced upon your children by you. That makes you a wonderful father, because your children will grow to be very obedient.
