Hi,
From when you began how do you know you have gained more in power...how do you know your magick works...and how has it reshaped your world...?
From this I am hoping to gain some insight and tips to how I can make it happen within my world more and more...
I am still awaiting my Modern Magick as well as some other books from Amazon they were posted out on 23rd...so should arrive soon...
Also when a spell or the magick worked did u think would it have happened anyway...?

It is a very naive question you ask, and in the same instant one the most profound and disturbing questions I have come across.
Did magic work for me? yes it did. Did it give me what I wanted ? no, it nearly destroyed me....and then it gave me everything when I desired it least
Did it make me a better person? no, it destroyed the person I was.
How has it reshaped my world? It never did, the only thing was, I suddenly became aware of the reshaping of the world, and...when I eventually submitted to that I became the master of it, yet could never ever seek it to be my slave.
As for wether a spell would have happened anyway?
Probably. And I'm being honest. The lesser rituals and rites will give you a slight advantage, in confidence, in harmony with the objective, in empathy with the subject. That's all, ......you might have a subtle influence, and that is all that is needed, but nothing a splash of the rigt kind of perfume wouldn't also equalize.
This path is not fickle and it will create more dissolutionment for you as it progresses, as it should.
There is a trick in one of the higher ranks of the British Army whereby you run with a heavy load on your back. You begin to thirst and are told by seargant watching your progress that water is around the corner, over that very large hill you have to run.By now the desire for thirst is overbearing...you've had it basically. You run over that very large hill and are told that the lorry carrying all the supplys has broken down. You give up. You fail and are dismissed from the special services, SOME resist that setback and run on, as they turn the corner, only some 30 yards away there is a soldier with water, and refreshment, who says, stop now you broken that barrier.

I am with Kalki, he clearly knows a lot more than me, but I know enough to tell you that you must be careful what you will / wish / intend / focus / pray for; we cannot just let the power have a life of its own; the consequences are BIG and yes, you may get what you want or thought you wanted, but the fallout may cause big problems in other areas of your life too.
I did some things prayerfully a few years ago and rather too powerfully, unfortunately I did not know I was entering into the magickal arena and it was some time before I realised what had happened and by then it was too late, much too late.
If you want the power, you must learn how to be disciplined with it too, once it is unleased, it goes, and goes until IT is finished.
I would love for someone to tell me that this is untrue, unfortunately I know it is not.

this is why the magickal journal is so necessary....not just to track your workings but to track yourself. if you practice theurgy you will see change in yourself over time: development, growth, perspective.
but power, hmm, i'm nervous about that term. can you achieve practical results? yes. can you gain power? i'm not sure. beware the path of the black brothers....

Yes Fr Novum Organum, power is a strong word, but quite good for getting across a sense of something we may not be able to control and that we should take care over if we are doing intentions.
Energy would be a word I might use normally.

When I asked the above question I meant it in the way of energy, not abusive power, and also what I was trying to get at was can you tell you have advanced or do you feel like you are playing with toys of the mind etc, still doing the rituals tarot etc but feeling no different for it.
So basically how has it changed you, personally, materially, love etc...? and magickally and psychically, have others noticed this change too...and has your magicks altered their world/

Most people like to invision the energy being sent out as an orb or smoke I always imagine vapor and it has worked for me . Of couse the books you bought most likely cover that . To actualy know if your spell worked you just have to have faith the more faith you have the stronger the spell will be . But as a warning karma works and will bite you in the ass . So only use spells as a last option . Also make sure your spells aren't made well angry or vengfull . As for me I only have one horror story from using magick and the only reason for that is because the spell was too strong . I have done lots of favors for friends when they had no other way of helping themselves . With magick you have to be wise enough to know when magick is needed or when you can change things on your own .Just because you can does not mean you should .
As for your questions about how it has changed me I dont try to change myself from it . If something drastic happens I will sometimes use magick to " fix " it , but I dont change things that are and always have been no matter how much they get to me . If something is realy bothering me I might do a spell to be more tollerant to it but thats as far as I go .

I have tried various things but until recently was blown away by one spell that I did...I imagined roots going down into the earth...then I raised the energy the same way...building it into a ball whilst focusing upon a candle flame on my altar...sprinkled with some camus and one or two walnuts...I asked the lord and the lady, or in this case Anubis and the Virgin Mary...I do not know if I mixed pantheons...but it was my only focus and more a focus upon the lord and the lady....
I asked them to bless my spell I visualised my pockets bulging with money but I also said and harm no one only for positive reasons....I then directed the energy to my pockets but also out into the universe, and whilst doing this I went into a different state of consciousness the room disappeared and went white like with light, if you know what I mean....anyway I forgot about this, and the next day got a 200.00 pound cheque in the post...I thought it was for compensation because I have had the builders in...but now I am not so sure...I should have phoned the council housing up and asked what it was for...I am on benefit and pay so much rent a week....the cheque was linked to my rent acount...I am not in arrears and only so much in credit with them....I thought it was either for the shower they pulled out or for the flooring they ripped up...
I cashed the cheque...now a friend says that this happened to her, whether it is the same or not, that the council sent her her benefit housing rent money by mistake instead of to the actual office...anyway, this has never happened to me as I always pay my rent each week...if this is my benefit rent money then it is their fault and if they come at me I will just say I thought it was for ripping my shower out floor etc....

But the outcome of a spell will sometimes come in mysterious ways .

watch it I bet I am replying to someone (you) at the housing by some quirk of synchronicity...lol...
I think I will phone them tomorrow because it is better to know than not...and if it was something to do with my rent...I could be paying the seven pound a week but all the time getting into arrears without knowing it and this could have me threw on the streets so I will phone...I will let you know...they will have to accept my offer of 2 pound a week...but you never know it might be mine....

I dont think you'll look dumb calling them . If anyone should look incompetent its who ever sent the bill , they should have put in a reciept . If they didn't send you one they probably dont send any . So my bet is they have alot of confused people on the phones all day .
