Re: I have questions about The Order Of Nine Angles

Ok the reason I don't like those mainstream religions (buddhism included) is because they all encourage you to waste your life. Waste it serving others, waste it abstaining from the many enjoyments that life offers, waste it following arbitrary rules that do not benefit you. It sounds like a jihad c...

Re: I have questions about The Order Of Nine Angles

I like your priorities. Finding the right girl is more important than spending spending the rest of your life in jail - unless you find the girl and do it and then get caught. Why would you make such crazy assumptions about my priorities? Of course staying out of jail is more important than finding...

Re: I have questions about The Order Of Nine Angles

Yeah, I think I might just take the good ideas they have and discard all the crazy shit. Some of their ideas are quite good - like the concept of insight roles. An insight role is when you temporarily take on a lifestyle that is the opposite of what your personality leans toward, in order to learn a...

I have questions about The Order Of Nine Angles

Ok, been looking into the O9A lately and I have to say it really appeals to me. I like how it has actual physical and mental challenges you have to pass in order to grade up, unlike the watered down joke that is Laveyan Satanism where you just declare yourself a Satanist then do whatever you want. H...

Re: Is it just me or is Laveyan Satanism an Empty Philosophy

Eliphas Levi also stole the Figure of Baphomet, as did the GD with its "egyptian traditions". And nobody cares. So why making a fuss about using a symbol from another paradigm which is nowadays a general archetypus anyway? What? I don't even care that he stole it. That wasn't even the poi...

Re: Is it just me or is Laveyan Satanism an Empty Philosophy

I think the satanic bible is one of the most important books written in human history Sorry but that's the most ridiculous fucking thing I've heard this week. It should be called The Obvious Bible or The Common Sense Bible. There's nothing revolutionary about telling people to be selfish and hedoni...

Is it just me or is Laveyan Satanism an Empty Philosophy?

Look, I've read the Satanic Bible, and most of what it says makes total sense. But... it seems like there's really not much to it. Like, it basically boils down to "fuck mainstream religions, be selfish and hedonistic". The ideas in the Satanic Bible are pretty much what most non-religious...

How effective is magic for altering personality traits?

For example - enhancing confidence, resilience, or something like that. Can that be a use for magick? More specifically I am looking at Chaos Magick for this purpose.

I can't see why it wouldn't work but I'd like to hear from someone who's actually had success in this area.

Cheers!

There's definitely something to this Magick Business

I'm new to magick and am approaching it with an open-yet-skeptical mind. I've been experimenting with a simplified version of the LBRP - Phil Hine's version. It definitely does something. After doing it I feel a calm, clear, energized feeling. I thought maybe it was the deep breathing that causes th...

Re: Is Banishing Really Needed in Chaos Magick?

As for the visualization problems, practice makes perfect. I had a lot of trouble with visualization for awhile, mostly because I skipped the meditations that would have helped with it at first. The more you work at visualization, the easier it'll get. Some people also aren't so visual, in which ca...

Is Banishing Really Needed in Chaos Magick?

I'm new to Chaos Magick and there's one thing that I'm really struggling with, and that's banishing. The ritual I'm trying to do is relatively simple, it's one designed by Stephen Mace and it involves visualizing rings of light going around your body and then visualizing a pillar of fire igniting th...
