uhhh...I'm glad everybody liked the faq system so much but I can tell you that it was WAY more work than originally envisioned...most of which I wound up doing myself at the time...and then of course it all came crashing down after the "incident". Every question had to be scanned through thousands (well, hundreds I guess) of posts to see who might have said what about it etc...it was a freaking nightmare...it looked great but it wasn't easy to build...
besides which...I'm not a mod right now anyway...
addendum: I do think it needs to be reinstated though...it just needs to be structured a little differently...instead of having somebody running through and extracting all these bits and pieces of previous posts I think it would be better to establish a good list of faqs and let everybody contribute specific comments on those points - no running discourse - just specific responses to specific questions...we had some really good commentaries compiled and those are gone I'm afraid but we can always start over and make backups this time...
